Modern dance is more weighted than Ballet, it is more grounded. Working turned in as well as turned out, with feet flexed, as well as pointed, breathing through movements, contraction and release, and fall and recovery are all terms you will hear us use. A Time To Dance teaches Graham Technique, which helps greatly with turn out in Ballet. Modern classes include floor work, seated, kneeling, lying, and various uses of space.
